Dash Launcher (“the app”) is a gesture-based Android home screen launcher developed and maintained by the developer (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, why it needs it, and what it does not collect.
We do not collect any personal data.
Dash Launcher does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information. There are no analytics, crash reporting services, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind embedded in the app.
Dash Launcher requests the following Android permissions. Each is used solely on-device and no data leaves your device.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGESRequired to enumerate all apps installed on your device so they can be assigned to gesture shortcuts. This is standard behaviour for any home screen launcher. The app reads the list of installed apps locally and does not transmit this information anywhere.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATSUsed to determine how recently you have used each app, enabling the launcher to sort or prioritise apps by frequency or recency. This data is processed entirely on-device and is never stored or shared externally. You will be prompted to grant this permission manually via Android’s Usage Access settings. The app functions without this permission, with reduced sorting capability.
VIBRATEUsed to provide haptic feedback when a gesture is recognised. No data is involved.
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGESAllows the launcher to initiate app uninstallation when triggered by the user. The launcher does not uninstall apps automatically — it only forwards the request to Android’s standard uninstaller when you explicitly choose to remove an app.
Any configuration you save — such as gesture-to-app mappings or display preferences — is stored locally on your device using Android’s standard storage APIs. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Dash Launcher does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As the app collects no data whatsoever, it poses no privacy risk to users of any age.
Dash Launcher does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics platforms.
If this policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be posted at the same URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
